Why creative work matters
Most people will never read a sixty-page policy paper or a scientific study. They may watch a film, listen to a podcast, attend a talk or recognise a piece of their family history in a story. TraVision uses creative work to carry serious knowledge into public life.
Documentary, drama, podcasting and public talks are not side projects. They are part of our human rights and education work. A story can make hidden history visible and allow an audience to feel the cost of a system that a report can only describe.
The Last Clans Standing
The Last Clans Standing is TraVision's developing documentary project on Irish history and Irish Traveller history. It traces the older Gaelic world, colonisation, the creation of English settlements, the criminalisation of movement and the survival of Irish Traveller culture into the present.
The documentary asks a direct question: how did a people formed within the Gaelic world come to be treated as strangers in their own country? It also turns the lens towards settled Ireland, examining how colonisation shaped national identity, institutions and the public imagination.
This is not a safe heritage film built from costumes and distant dates. It connects law, land, psychology, science, family memory and present-day policy. Its purpose is to recover history and open a national conversation that has been delayed for generations.

Outside the Colony
Outside the Colony is a TraVision public-education podcast exploring decolonisation, Irish history, Irish Traveller history, democracy, racism, science, identity and critical thinking. The title describes the space we are trying to build: a place where inherited systems can be examined without asking those same systems for permission.
The podcast uses ordinary language and open conversation. It is designed for Irish Travellers, students, researchers, public workers and anyone willing to question the version of history they were given.
Film and screen storytelling
TraVision also develops screen stories rooted in Irish Traveller life, folklore, archaeology and the hidden survival of the Gaelic world. Projects including The Fairy and the Tinker use drama and supernatural storytelling to bring questions of memory, identity, institutions and cultural survival to a wider audience.
Talks and education
We develop talks, presentations and learning materials for community groups, schools, universities, researchers and public institutions. Our aim is not to simplify the truth until it becomes harmless. It is to make difficult knowledge understandable and useful.
