TraVision Foundation welcomes serious partnerships with universities, researchers, cultural institutions, filmmakers, public bodies, human rights organisations and funders. We want collaboration that expands the work while keeping Irish Traveller leadership, intellectual ownership and public credit intact.

Too often, small Irish Traveller-led organisations can access support only when a larger body becomes the lead applicant. That may keep a project alive, but it can also move control of the budget, language, timetable and final decisions away from the people who created the work.

Participation without resources is not equality.

What fair partnership looks like

• TraVision is involved before the project and research questions are fixed.
• Budgets include Irish Traveller-led staff, administration, travel, research and communication.
• Community knowledge is credited and protected.
• TraVision shares control over interpretation and publication.
• Complex or challenging findings are not softened to protect institutional comfort.
• The partnership leaves lasting skills, employment and resources within the Irish Traveller community.
• Success is measured by public value and community benefit, not attendance figures alone.

What support would make possible

• Paid Irish Traveller-led research and administration roles.
• Completion of The Last Clans Standing documentary and education materials.
• A public archive of reports, talks, recordings and historical sources.
• Irish Traveller-led work on colonisation, identity, suicide and biological consequences.
• Community workshops and plain-language science resources.
• Further Oireachtas, European and United Nations engagement.
• A stable base for long-term education, culture and research instead of one short project at a time.
